SMI training kicked off smoothly with all equipment; sewing machines, cutting tables, and pressing irons, in place. Participants have shown exceptional enthusiasm and punctuality. The curriculum covers essential skills such as fabric measurement, cutting and sewing, pattern drafting, garment construction, and finishing.
In November, participants will begin entrepreneurship and financial literacy classes to enhance their readiness for self-employment and business sustainability.
Attendance tracking, weekly progress reports, and ongoing evaluation ensure accountability and measurable progress. The atmosphere remains positive, with participants expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity to learn and grow.

Expected Impact
By the end of the program, 15 women will have gained the skills and confidence to establish small-scale tailoring businesses or secure employment within the fashion and garment industry. Beyond technical expertise, participants are being groomed to think as entrepreneurs, ready to contribute to economic growth, self-sufficiency, and community development in Kwara State.

As the project moves toward its December milestone, St. Magdalene Institute remains committed to ensuring that each participant graduates with skill competence and entrepreneurial readiness. The Kwara Tailoring Project stands as a shining example of how education, skill, and service can transform communities and empower the next generation of women leaders.
