Course Description:
The Financial Literacy and Microfinance program at St. Magdalen Institute (SMI) aims to empower students with essential financial knowledge and skills, preparing them to manage personal finances, start and grow businesses, and contribute positively to their communities. This course covers a broad spectrum of financial topics including budgeting, savings, investment, credit management, debt reduction, financial planning, and microfinance principles. Students will also explore the role of microfinance institutions in providing financial services to underserved populations, with a focus on entrepreneurship and economic development.

Through interactive lectures, workshops, case studies, and practical assignments, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of financial management and microfinance operations. They will learn to develop financial plans, assess financial needs, and access credit in a responsible manner.
