At St. Magdalen Institute, we recognize the immense potential of every child, even those whose education has been disrupted due to circumstances beyond their control. Our educational program for pre-teens and adolescents is designed to restore their academic trajectory, focusing on children removed from school to serve as house helps or caregivers against their will.
Through personalized education plans, remedial classes, and specialized support, we work tirelessly to help these young girls catch up academically and rejoin their peers in a standard classroom setting. Our goal is to prepare them not only to participate but also to excel in the National Examinations, paving the way for future opportunities. WE will teach Mathematics: Basic arithmetic, fractions, decimals, introductory algebra. English Language: Grammar, comprehension, writing skills, spelling. Basic Sciences: Introduction to biology, chemistry, and physics concepts. Civic Education: Understanding rights, responsibilities, and citizenship. Social Studies: African history and cultural awareness.
At SMI, education is a tool for empowerment. By providing a nurturing environment that balances academic rigor with emotional and psychological support, we give these young girls a chance to reclaim their futures and realize their dreams.
This program is more than an education; it’s a lifeline, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to society
